Now, when you are reading this blog post, do you know your heart is beating? Yes , you might probably know that your heart is beating and you are alive because of it. Your heart beats every second in your life time. So, to know about this amazing part of our mighty human body let's go more deeper!
Chambers of the heart
The de-oxygenated blood enters through the right atrium in the heart and goes to right ventricle through the tricuspid valve. Then, the de-oxygenated blood travels in the pulmonary valve and goes to the pulmonary artery and finally reaches the lungs. In the lungs the de-oxygenated blood gets oxygenated and travels back to the heart through the pulmonary vein and, enters the left atrium. Now, the blood goes to the left ventricle by the help of mitral valve. Finally the journey ends by pumping the oxygenated blood to all the parts of our body.
The blood vessels
The blood vessels are your transporters through all of the body parts.
Each blood vessel has different type of blood to transport to different part.
The 'Veins'
The veins carry de-oxygenated (oxygen poor blood) blood from the different parts of the human body and sends it to the heart.
The 'Arteries'
The arteries carry Oxygenated blood (oxygen rich blood) from the heart and sends it to the different parts of the body.
The capillaries
The capillaries are the smallest blood vessels in the human body. Their work is to connect the veins and arteries.
Heart attack
A heart attack or myocardial infraction is the complete blockage of blood going to a part of the heart and making the muscles cells to die.
A network of blood cells called coronary arteries carry oxygen continuously to the heart and oxygen gives energy to cardiac muscle so it can function properly. But if people have bad lifestyle and stress cholesterol and fat gets stored in these arteries which reduces oxygen flow to the cardiac muscles. These kinds of bulge are called plaque. When plaque ruptures there is a blood clot created and oxygen stops flowing. and this is how heart attack takes place.
Nowadays, heart attack rate is increasing every day due to a bad lifestyle. We should remember "Life is a gift don't take it for granted, eat healthy ,be healthy results will be happy.".
First aid for heart attack
Aspirin
Aspirin, also known as acetylsalicylic acid, is a medication used to reduce pain, fever, or inflammation. Specific inflammatory conditions which aspirin is used to treat include Kawasaki disease, pericarditis, and rheumatic fever. Aspirin given shortly after a heart attack decreases the risk of death
Clopidogrel
Clopidogrel, sold under the brand name Plavix among others, is an antiplatelet medication used to reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke in those at high risk. It is also used together with aspirin in heart attacks and following the placement of a coronary artery stent. It is taken by mouth.
Atorvastatin
Atorvastatin, sold under the brand name Lipitor among others, is a statin medication used to prevent cardiovascular disease in those at high risk and to treat abnormal lipid levels. For the prevention of cardiovascular disease, statins are a first-line treatment. It is taken by mouth.
Now we all know about our human heart so, before leaving this amazing blog lets thank our heart for working throughout your lifetime.
